Why a Netflix Gift Card Makes a Great Gift
With a Netflix gift card, you’re giving the gift of entertainment without needing to know the recipient’s favorite series or movies. Since the gift card is digital, there’s no need for wrapping or shipping. It’s perfect for birthdays, Christmas, as a thank-you, or just as a small surprise.
How to Gift a Netflix Gift Card - Choose the amount: Decide how much you want to gift. - Pay: Complete your purchase using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. - Receive the code: The Netflix code will be sent to you by email. - Pass it along: Forward the email to the recipient or print out the code and include it in a card.
The recipient redeems the code themselves. Since the value is credited to their Netflix account, they can use it toward their subscription.
How the Recipient Redeems the Gift Card
The recipient opens netflix.com/redeem in a browser and enters the code. This also works if they don’t yet have a Netflix account—the process will prompt them to create one. Existing account holders can enter the code in the "Membership & Billing" section under "Redeem gift card or promo code." The credited amount will be applied to their account and deducted on their next billing cycle.
Gifting Multiple Gift Cards
If you want to gift more than one month of Netflix, you can buy multiple gift cards. The recipient can redeem them one after another to prepay their subscription for several months.
Things to Keep in Mind When Gifting - Region: Netflix gift cards are region-locked. Choose a gift card that matches the recipient’s Netflix account region. - Billing via third parties: Accounts billed through iTunes or Google Play cannot redeem Netflix gift cards. Check this with the recipient beforehand if unsure. - Use browser, not app: Redemption is done on the Netflix website, not within the app. Make sure the recipient knows this. - Keep the code confidential: Only forward the email to the person you’re gifting. Anyone who knows the code can redeem it.
