My Netflix Gift Card Isn't Accepted
First, check that you entered the code completely and without spaces or typos. The safest way is to copy the code directly from the email. Also, make sure you redeem it on Netflix's website in a browser, preferably at netflix.com/redeem.
I Pay for My Subscription via iTunes or Google Play
If your subscription billing is handled by a third party like iTunes or Google Play rather than directly through Netflix, you cannot redeem a Netflix gift card. You can switch your billing method to direct payment with Netflix or create a new Netflix account and redeem the gift card there. Details are available in Netflix's help center.
The Gift Card Is Valid for a Different Region
Netflix gift cards are region-specific. They only work with the Netflix service for the region where they were issued. Check your order confirmation to see which region your gift card is intended for and compare that with your Netflix account's region.
Can't Redeem the Code in the App
Redemption must be done via the Netflix website. Open netflix.com/redeem in your browser instead of entering the code in the app.
My Balance Is Not Visible
Check your Netflix account under Membership and Billing to see if the balance is displayed there. The balance will be applied with the next billing cycle, so a charge may not appear immediately. If you are sure the code was redeemed but the balance is missing, contact Netflix support.
I Haven't Received an Email with the Code
Look in your spam folder and verify you provided the correct email address. Some orders require a preliminary verification before the code email is sent. If nothing arrives after a reasonable time, contact support with your order number.
Can I Return My Gift Card?

Security: Recognizing Fraud
Legitimate companies or authorities never ask for payment via gift card codes. If someone asks you to provide a Netflix code, it is very likely a scam. Sharing your code causes loss of your balance. Also, never purchase codes for people you do not know.
